In my line of work over the last 8 years, I have always put and applied "value creation" among my top 3 values in business management and leadership. The results speak for themselves. 2 Night clubs voted by the public in Johannesburg as "Best Venue" in 2002/03/04. A Cocktail Bar & Restaurant voted by Oprah magazine as one of the best venues in South Africa 2007/08. Now Im GM of a new development which is a Cocktail & Tapas bar in Greenside, Johannesburg. We opened our doors 7 weeks ago and the place is packed out every night. Value creation not only works in terms of product, quality service levels, consistency, building and retaining a loyal following, but also internally with staff hiring, training & development. Ive also found that effective leadership involves adding value to those around you on a personal and professional level. This concept has given myself and the business` Ive managed in the past, a very strong competitive advantage. <br>I look forward to following more of your discussions.
