People with artistic skills absolutely must follow their passion – imagine how dismal the world would be without creative streaks!

However, and this is a big but, the sad reality is that true art (as opposed to art produced purely for commercial purposes) is discounted as one of life's necessities and therefore never generates a meaningful income.
